Purpose: HAO leads development and enhancement of community hospice palliative care in Ontario. 13,300 volunteers in over 400 communities help to meet emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of people and families living with life-threatening illnesses. In 14 years, HAO has grown over 1000% -- from 9 to 159 members, and this exponential growth is expected to continue.
