Purpose: The Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) is a non-profit organization representing approximately 700 of Ontario's 815 municipalities. Through its research, policy development and government consultation programs AMO plays a significant role in the development of provincial and federal policies affecting municipalities, and is the recognized municipal voice on local government issues in Ontario. AMO's Resource Centre maintains an extensive collection of reference sources concerning contemporary municipal issues.
