Toronto Families Stand with Gaza - Protest the Attacks

July 27, 2014

Join us this Sunday for a child-focused rally and short march to the Israeli consulate to protest the attack on Gaza and the Canadian Government’s complicity in Israeli war crimes.
As the children of Gaza face the terror of Israel’s brutal assault, we are calling on Toronto families to show our solidarity. Bring your children, friends, parents and grandparents!
Over 800 Palestinians have been killed so far, including 170 children - 25% of all casualties. So many other kids have been deeply traumatized and/or severely injured. Children in Gaza have lived all or most of their lives under the Israeli siege that has blocked proper food, medicine, building supplies and other necessities of life from coming in to Gaza. The Canadian government is ignoring these children and their suffering by supporting Israel unconditionally.
We have chosen to start the protest with a soccer game at a local park. It will be a gathering where children can play without fear of bombings or being shot. Playing like children in Gaza should be able to play. We will then march to the Israeli consulate - taking to the streets to show our solidarity with Gaza and our outrage at Canadian support for Israeli war crimes.
Bring soccer balls, flags, signs, noise makers and your voices. Let’s teach our kids about resistance and solidarity! Join us as we mourn those who have died and demand justice for Gaza and a free Palestine.
