Bold Action - The Moral Call for Climate Justice

June 10, 2014

If we're serious about stopping pipelines, ending our investments in fossil fuels, and standing with First Nations leading the fight against tar sands -- then we need to start talking about taking bold action. BoldAction -- the Moral Call for Climate Justice, a conversation about how to step up our movement to confront the climate crisis featuring powerhouse activists and voices for change. Speakers are: Reverend Lennox Yearwood, founder of the Hip Hop Caucus and a powerful voice in the campaign to stop the Keystone XL pipeline; Heather Milton-Lightening, who has spent years working with Indigenous communities to stand up against dirty energy; and Sean Devlin, a comedian and activist whose family roots in the Philippines tie together local fights to stop pipelines and tar sands to a larger struggle for global climate justice. This talk will prepare us to make the coming months even more epic, and make an impact on Harper's imminent push for tar sands pipelines to the west coast.
