The theme for the 10th anniversary festival is Quviasugitsi Tamaani Nunattinni, the song
title to one of Nunavut’s most popular songs. Songwriter Paul Irsuk Sr will perform, along with:
Akukittut, featuring Greenland’s Kimmernaq, Miki Thomsen, Frederik Elsner and Hans-Henrik Poulsen
Namgar, a Mongolian/Chinese collaboration
Fred Penner, the ‘Minister of Positivity’
Pacific Curls, an enchanting mixture of Maori, Rotuman and Celtic music
Michael Kusugak, award-winning author and storyteller
Artcirq, Igloolik’s mesmerizing circus arts performers
Nathan Rogers, Canadian folk musician and Mongolian throat chanter
Northern Haze and Kikkukia, two popular Nunavut bands from Igloolik
Jaaji Uppik, folk/pop artist born in Quaqtaq, Nunavik
Fawn Fritzen & Grant Simpson, Yukon’s swing-folk duo
Wintermitts – B.C.’s orchestral pop group
The Crooked Brothers, a country/blues/funk band from Winnipeg
Billie Zizi, Alberta singer-songwriter
Local popular bands The Tradeoffs and Canvas
