Crowd-pleasing Line-up at Markham Charity Music Concert

Participation House, Markham announces its 2013 “Students Helping Students” Charity Music concert, held Friday, November 8, 2013 at the FLATO Markham Theatre, 171 Town Centre Blvd. Markham, On L3R 8G5. Doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. All proceeds support the charity’s Day Program Services for adults with physical and developmental disabilities.
This year’s event is sponsored by Rotary Club of Markham Sunrise Inc., TD Bank and Long & McQuade and features performances by talented music students from five local high schools. All ensembles will be led by guest conductor Dr. Paula Holcomb from New York City’s SUNY Fredonia School of Music. Special guest performers include Participation House Education Students using the Soundbeam(TM), an ultrasonic beam that responds to movement to make music, and internationally acclaimed break-dancer Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli who will demonstrate that anything is achievable with the right attitude. The evening’s Master of Ceremonies is long-time friend and supporter to Participation House, Markham - Mark Cullen, Canada’s Gardening Expert. The event ends on a high note with the sounds of York University’s Rhythm & Blues Band, Soul Collective.
