Climb the Wind Turbine

Following up on last year's success, North America's only turbine climbing fundraiser is happening again - and we hope that you can help word!
From October 5th - 8th, 2013, TREC Education presents the 2nd annual Climb the Turbine Fundraiser. Building on the success of last year's event (which raised over $20,000), people from across Ontario will climb the first urban-based, co-operatively owned wind turbine in North America located at Exhibition Place in Toronto, ON. The event will raise funds to inspire and educate youth in renewable energy and energy conservation.
Participation in this event is limited and spots are filling up fast - however we are still looking for individuals or teams of two to climb the wind turbine located at Exhibition Place in Toronto. It would be very much appreciated if you could pass this information on to members of your organization and others who may be interested in participating and support renewable energy education - crucial tool for a renewable future!

Here's your chance to climb to the top of the Toronto wind turbine - and do it in support of teaching youth about the science and benefits of renewable energy.
From October 5th - 8th, 2013, TREC Education presents the 2nd annual Climb the Turbine Fundraiser. Participants will climb a ladder, inside the turbine, with a guide. Each climb, either in pairs or solo, is required to raise at least $500 to participate.
