Get on the Bus: Raise the Rates!

April 12, 2013

With the new provincial government lead by Kathleen Wynne, it has become very important to let our voices be heard regarding the approaching Budget and how it relates to decent living wages. The Raise the Rates Campaign is calling on supporters to hold actions at local MPP's and Minister's offices the week of April 8 to demand real actions to combat poverty. Other issues at stake are to raise the three year freeze on minimum wage and to increase it to $14 an hour as well as to raise social assistance rates by 55%.
