Write for Rights

December 08, 2012

Come celebrate Human Rights Day with Amnesty International on December 8th, 2012 from 12-8pm in the Alma Van Dusen and Peter Kaye room at the Central Branch of the Vancouver Public Library (350 W. Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC) with our annual Write For Rights event.

This year, all the local Amnesty groups are joining forces to have one big collective letter writing event.

Feel free to stop by anytime to write letters, sign petitions/postcards, watch human rights films, listen to fantastic speakers, eat and mingle with other activists.

We do have some cool activities planned including:

- A talk on the history of human rights at 1pm
- A screening of the film Surviving Japan at 3pm (www.311survivingjapan.com)
- A discussion on Women and the Right to Education at 5pm

The event is free and everyone is welcome.
