Climate Change at the Frontiers of Ethics

Dale Jamieson, environmental studies and philosophy prof. at New York University, explores the ethics behind our failure to collectively respond to the threat of climate change.
Why have we failed to act collectively in response to climate change? Economists' efforts to show that it is in our interest to respond aggressively to climate change assume a set of ethical ideals that don't seem to be motivating. What other ethical ideals might motivate us to act.
