Sustainable Energy Symposium

The Sustainable Energy Symposium (SES) is an applied research conference that brings together participants from industry, academia and various stakeholders, and showcases St. Lawrence College’s applied research capabilities to support the regional small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the renewable energy industry within the south-eastern Ontario region.

OBJECTIVES OF THE SYMPOSIUM ARE:
* Foster collaboration between industry and academia to enable regional innovation and enhance business competitiveness.
* Showcase St. Lawrence College’s applied research capacity and capabilities to support SMEs technical needs.
* Knowledge dissemination of applied research resulting and experience.
* Educate next generation of leaders and develop highly qualified personnel (HQP) for the sustainability of the renewable energy industry

SES is expected to attract leading industry players, top educators and visionary government agencies who are positioning Ontario and Canada as the leader in energy innovation in the 21st century.
Some of the highlights of the event are; keynote address by two seasoned and sought-after speakers, highly informative and engaging panel discussions by industry experts and experienced individuals, student project presentations, poster display, award presentation, and tour of St. Lawrence College’s applied research facility at the Sustainable Energy Applied Research Centre (SEARC).
