Local Food: What's In It For You?

"Local Food: What's In It For You?" will be an interesting gathering of people interested and involved in creating, forwarding accessibility, and consuming locally made food and beverages in Burlington. Visit with local farmers, local food producers, retailers, chefs and social agencies all making strides to bring more local food to Burlington consumers. Listen to the speaker panel and ask your questions.

The evening begins at 6pm to walk around and meet the various exhibitors from producers of honey to game meats, heritage egg and pork farmers, and many others.
At 7pm a panel discussion will begin with M/C Lynn Roblin of the Halton Food Council. The panel discussion will allot 10-15 minutes to each panelist selected to represent the farm, retail, restaurant, and alcohol beverage sectors to discuss their unique challenges bringing fresh local food, wine and beer to the public consistently, including successes we can all learn from, and what law or policy changes they'd suggest that would help you achieve their next goals.
At 8pm a Q&A session will begin winding up around 8:30 so to allow some more time for people to connect with the exhibitors before departing by 9pm.
