Trout Forest Music Festival, Ear Falls

August 12, 2011 to August 14, 2011

There will be artists from a variety of genres and from all over the country coming together to spend aweekend making magic in the woods at Ear Falls. This August will be artists that are eqqually at home at any large festival in the country. But instead of battling the tens of thouusands, we get to have them in the intimate Trout environment. The lineup is mostly comprised of artists that I have been impressed by as I travel around the country, while a few others were programmed based on their recordings and live reputation. After Friday’s kickoff show in Frank’s Tavern gives you a taste of the weekend to come, spend Saturday and Sunday wandering back and forth between workshops and concerts at the Mainstage and Frank’s Tavem stage. What was previously the family stage will now be a mixture of family entertainment and ‘open mic’ performances, so stop by with your instrument and show us what you got. You can also sign up for the hands-on instructional workshop and learn from some of the festivals best performers. Don’t forget to visit the many food and artisan booths. Have a swim and enjoy the finest of Canadian music in the finest of Canadian places.
