2011 Association for Women Journalists Chicago Annual Meeting

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and hors d’oeuvres. The annual meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome and election of board members. That will be followed by a keynote speech by Elizabeth Brackett, correspondent and substitute host for WTTW11′s flagship nightly public affairs program “Chicago Tonight” and author of the book “Pay to Play: How Rod Blagojevich Turned Political Corruption into a National Sideshow.”

Our keynote speech, "The Joy and Travails of Journalism," will be given by Elizabeth Brackett, correspondent and substitute host for WTTW11’s flagship nightly public affairs
program “Chicago Tonight” and author of the 2009 book Pay to Play: How Rod Blagojevich Turned Political Corruption into a National Sideshow.
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a reception and hors d’oeuvres. The annual meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. with a welcome and election of board members. Brackett’s address will follow.
Admission is free to AWJ members whose 2011 dues are paid and Columbia faculty and students; $20 for non-members. For $15, non-member students from schools other than Columbia can get admission to the meeting and a one-year membership.
Dues are $50 for regular members, $15 for students and $65 for associates. Consider joining now or at the meeting.
