END:CIV with director Franklin López

END:CIV illustrates the brutality of a civilization addicted to systematic violence and environmental destruction, and the heroism of those who confront it head-on. Rapid-fire video-game graphics, interviews, war footage and satire mock the excesses of the global economic system, even as it implodes around us.
Based on the best-seller Endgame by Derrick Jensen, END:CIV begins with the harsh reality that all civilizations eventually end. The ancient Mayans, the dynasties of China, and the mighty Roman Empire, as long-lived and powerful as they were, inevitably crashed. Western Civilization is no different. It's coming down, but not fast enough.
END:CIV will screen in the following Ontario cites:
Ottawa
University of Ottawa on May 10th, at 7:00pm. Admission: Donation.
Kingston
AKA Autonomous Social Centre with Aric McBay on May 11th, at 7:00pm. Admission: Donation.
Peterborough
The Cannery Art Centre on May 13th, at 7:00pm. Admission: Sliding Scale, $5 - $50.
Toronto
Detour Bar on May 14th, at 7:00pm. Admission: PWYC, $1 - $5.
London
Lifespin on May 16th, at 7:00pm. Admission: $5 - $10 suggested donation.
Hamilton
Sky Dragon Center on May 18th, at 7:00pm. Admission: $5 - $15. Pay $15 and receive END:CIV DVD.
*Director Franklin López will be on hand to present the film and answer questions afterward.
