BC Sustainable Energy Association (Vancouver Chapter) presents
Gary Thompson CEO of Sierra Geothermal Power Corp. to talk about the growing opportunities for geothermal energy in BC.
This is an exciting opportunity for professionals to hear one the leaders at the forefront of geothermal energy. Gary Thompson is the Director, President & Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Geothermal Power Corporation (SGP). Gary has over 20 years of experience in the resource sector, with the last 8 years focus on geothermal energy.
Prior to joining SGP, Gary held positions with Newmont Mining Corporation, EnCana Corporation and NovaGold Resources Inc. In 2001, Mr. Thompson founded Cayley Geothermal Corp, which was acquired by SGP in 2006. He has been the lead on the selection and acquisition of the majority of the prospects held by SGP to date. Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology from the University of British Columbia and is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC) and Alberta (APEGGA).

The presentation will begin approximately at 7:30, followed by questions and open floor mingling!!! Do not miss this great opportunity to learn about geothermal energy and network in one of Vancouver's coolest European Beer Bars!
