The US in the Middle East: Peace Processes and War Fevers

October 31, 2010

The 4th annual James Graff Memorial Lecture presented by Phyllis Bennis, Senior Policy Analyst, Writer and Co-Founder of the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation. As a longtime analyst of the region, Bennis will address the current political situation in the Middle East and discuss complex issues including the ongoing US-led military occupation of Afghanistan, the new face of the US presence in Iraq, the current peace talks between the Israeli leadership and the Palestinian Authority, and the prospects of a future war on Iran. Bennis' comprehensive understanding of these longstanding conflicts and expertise on the pressing realities in the Middle East promise a refreshing and relevant perspective.
