Media Democracy Day Vancouver

The School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, OpenMedia.ca, and the Vancouver Public Library present Media Democracy Day Vancouver 2010. This year's event will take place Saturday, November 6th from 12 PM-5 PM at the Vancouver Public Library, Central Library, 350 West Georgia Street. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, but seating is limited.

MDD Vancouver 2010 will feature keynote speakers, interactive panels, and hands-on workshops focused on critical analysis of media policy, citizen and alternative media production, and the transformation of the media system to make it more diverse and representative of audiences and communities.

Come to Media Democracy Day Vancouver 2010 and question the media landscape that surrounds you, create alternatives and new ways forward, and transform the system for the better!

Pre-registration helps us estimate audiences and print the right number of program booklets and on-site materials.
