Sustainable Living Seminars - Simple and Sustainable Living

October 19, 2010

Old Ottawa East Community Activities Group and Sustainable Living Ottawa East present Sustainable Living Workshops developed and delivered by Tucker House Seventh Generation Learning Series.

Participants will be invited to reflect on why we have become a society driven by a desire to buy more and do more, what the impact is on the planet and on ourselves, and how we change for the better. The main focus will be on sharing our experiences and ideas for breaking out of old habits and patterns and being happy with less -- probably even happier. We'll consider the messages in the marketplace, and our choices in responding to them. We'll explore the challenges and rewards in living more simply and sustainably, and connect with others who have the same concerns and goals.

The workshop will be facilitated by Andrea Prazmowski who, despite childhood memories of wrestling frozen jeans off the clothesline in wintertime, has embraced line-drying now and loves noticing the stars when she takes clothes off the line in the evenings.
