Planet in Focus Environmental Film & Video Festival

October 13, 2010 to October 17, 2010

Planet in Focus International Environmental Film & Video Festival is Canada's preeminent festival of its kind. For ten years we have championed the explosive growth and evolution of environmental cinema.

For ten years we have positioned ourselves as creative and cultural leaders in the realm of international environmental film festivals. For ten years we have have cultivated audiences to celebrate and experience the environmental works of Canadian and international filmmakers.

In this milestone year we continue building on our achievements through our rich film program; through our opening and closing Canadian films; through our Spotlight, Fast Forward Toward a 20/20 Vision; through our selection of Canadian shorts, through the special environmental works we are premiering from China, through our unique Land & Conflict collaboration; through our School Program; through our Film Industry Symposium; through our Children and Youth programs and much, much, more...

Our 10th anniversary is an occasion to celebrate the astonishing achievements of our International, Canadian and Industry/Media Eco Heroes. Maude Barlow, Ian Clifford and the CBC flagship program, The Nature of Things with David Suzuki our home grown environmental heroes and we are delighted to bestow this honour upon them on this anniversary year.

We are also lucky to welcome one of Canada's most cherished author's and environmental legend Farley Mowat who will be present at our opening night film Finding Farley. So join us and let's celebrate together.

Now in our 11th year, we are looking forward to beginning our second decade producing Canada's leading environmental film and video festival October 13-17, 2010.
