National Compost Conference
September 22, 2010 to September 24, 2010
In 1990, a gathering of environmental advocates spanning academia, community, business and government leaders helped create the reality of The Compost Council of Canada. Paralleling the passion and struggles of those who believe in the importance of organics recycling, conservation of natural resources and the relevance of compost, The Compost Council of Canada has helped nurture and support the advancement and credibility of compost advocates across Canada.
Regulations have developed, compost operator training & certification have been created, public and industry awareness programs have evolved, standards for compost and compostable materials have been introduced and a protocol for compost's positive impact on greenhouse gas emissions is underway.
So much has been done on so little. And yet, so much more is yet to be done.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of The Compost Council of Canada, please join us as we celebrate our 20th Anniversary Conference, to be held in our nation's capital, Ottawa, on September 22 - 24, 2010.
