Summerfolk 2010

August 20, 2010 to August 22, 2010

The Summerfolk site is erected by scores of volunteers and artisans and takes on the appearance of a small village. It features a 4000 seat main stage, five side stages, Over 40 artisans exhibiting their talents in the craft area, more than a dozen food booths, a sandy beach, a children's area with a playground, ample free parking, not to mention the Down by the Bay tent - our licensed beverage area!!
Camping is available nearby and the area offers a wide range of accommodations from quaint bed and breakfasts to luxury hotels. The biggest problem visitors have to contend with is "where to go next?" Pottery, jewelry, woodwork, clothing and instruments are but a few examples of the fine craftsmanship. Canadian artists are combined with acts from North America and beyond with the total number often exceeding 100 performers. The music starts at 11:00 a.m. on stages throughout the park and continues throughout the afternoon. These intimate side stages let the magic happen with the performers backing each other up in unique arrangements. The main stage features performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m.. Summerfolk is truly an audience participation festival with ample opportunities to meet the performers, talk with the artisans, renew old acquaintances and make new friends.
