The Eaglewood Folk Festival is dedicated to presenting exciting and diverse original folk/roots music while promoting arts & culture, ecological awareness, multiculturalism and health & wellness in a sustainable environment of unity, positive energy and artistic excellence.


Mandate

While music is the focus, The Eaglewood Folk Festival also highly values and gives special emphasis to:
* Original, innovative traditional and contemporary folk roots music
* Orchestrating an annual three day summer-time event
* Hosting several winter and spring series concerts, featuring a blend of local talent
* Canadian and Aboriginal singer songwriters, and the inclusion of one International act per year
* Development of local artists and new talent
* Celebrating diversity awareness and inclusion with emphasis to Indigenous arts & culture, tradition and ceremony
* Providing handicapped-accessible venues, sites and programs
* Youth programming and family-friendly activities

* Raising awareness of and exercising ecological and environmentally-friendly living practices
* Sponsors and community partners who are our co-leaders in providing unique opportunities for community building of economy, arts and culture
* Providing positive quality of life through community involvement and development
* To sustain an environment of humour, unity and inclusion
* Our volunteers who are the lifeblood of the organization
