Reflecting on Beit Zatoun - Past and Future

November 30, 2016

The final event on the very last day of Beit Zatoun as a physical space. All are invited to assemble one last time in a special space that has become integral to Toronto life for many communities. Here we shared, learned and explored the intersections of art, culture and politics from the world over. Beit Zatoun audiences have always been respectful, open to ideas, stories and reality of others. Perhaps by reflecting on the past at Beit Zatoun we can see glimpses of a possible future for something similar to help meet the needs of a city much challenged and threatened.

Create a Talisman as a Memory of Beit Zatoun and Your Hope For the Future

Before and during the event, Nathania Lavis, an Art Therapy Student will have an art booth with a variety of creative supplies to help complement our theme "Reflecting on Beit Zatoun - Past and Future". Everyone is invited to create a talisman, a special object that you can take away, to serves as a reminder of what Beit Zatoun has meant for you. Create a piece of art that shows what you have learned and experienced at Beit Zatoun, but also the hope and intentions for the future beyond this physical space.

Venue: Beit Zatoun
Location: 612 Markham St Toronto, ON
