Crimes of the Empire

February 02, 2016

Terrorism - Refugees - Endless war in the Middle East. They all have a common cause. The interference and meddling by empire in Central and West Asia has created tremendous instability, protected dictatorial regimes, and nurtured sectarian warfare. The most powerful confluence of financial and military might today is the U.S empire - with its hundreds of foreign bases and 12 aircraft carrier groups.

For our Feb. 2 teach-in, the Hamilton Coalition To Stop The War is pleased to announce a return visit to Hamilton of Zafar Bangash and Phil Taylor, who lectured together here last year on the sinister implications of the Hollywood film, "American Sniper". This year, they will speak about how the US empire has produced the catastrophes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Nigeria, Yemen, and Palestine.

Time: 7:00 pm
Venue: New Vision United Church
Location: 24 Main Street West Hamilton, ON
