Film shorts screening to be followed by legal analysis by Toronto lawyers Jack Gemmell and Barbara Jackman. Open Q&A will follow formal comments.

Jack Gemmell has been a lawyer for over thirty years with a current focus on civil rights and criminal law in general and national security in particular. He is I a member of the Law Union of Ontario's Working Group on National Security and also played a major role in drafting an extensive brief on Bill C-51 for the House of Commons Committee considering the bill.

Barbara Jackman is a prominent Canadian lawyer specializing in immigration and refugee law. Ms. Jackman practices law with Jackman, Waldman & Associates in Toronto where she has developed a reputation as one of Canada's most effective advocates of refugee rights.
