February 28, 2018

Do you believe in social justice in mental health? Then keep reading and get your ticket!! Join us for our Racism Talks Series!

The Racism Talks Series is creating a space to not only discuss the existence of systemic racism but to also create tangible action plans for decision makers.

This series will look specifically at racism in educational, mental health and justice systems. These events will
provide riveting discussions with community leaders, intertwined with artistic performers and wrap up by inviting the audience to create action plans.

The main focus will be within the context of these systems as they exist in the GTA and ways to hold decision
makers accountable to anti-racism work.

The second session will be held on February 28th from 6:00pm-9:00pm, the purpose of the panel is to expose service-users, mental health workers and community members to climates of anti-Black and anti-Native racism in mental health, to name a few, as well as develop priorities and strategies to combat issues of racism, violence and marginalization of these communities within the outlined jurisdiction.

Dinner will be provided :)
