On November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Toronto branches of GRAN and CFUW are hosting a panel and discussion to highlight examples of work that can lead to positive changes in the social context of gender-based violence.

Kim Bernhardt, The Equality Effect:- Volunteer with the landmark 160 girls project in Kenya, demonstrating how international law can bring justice to abused women and girls
Fazia Mohammed, Interval House: Manager of recent research from Canada's first women's shelter highlighting what is required to empower survivors to rebuild their lives
