Toronto Social Justice Movement Leader Consultation

November 07, 2017

Resource Movement is an emerging organization of young people with wealth and class privilege, working toward the equitable distribution of land, wealth and power. We're a project on the Tides Canada Shared Platform.

This consultation will serve multiple purposes: the first is to gauge the support that is needed from folks leading social justice movements. Whether it be financial support or direct action support, we want to hear from you. This consultation is also in part to help build our curriculum. A large part of the work we do is public education with other class privileged folks on privilege, wealth and land accumulation. Unfortunately, a lot of documented information is American-centered so we are in the process a Canadian-based curriculum; we would love your expertise surrounding this and any resources you may have used in your movements.

The consultation will be held on Tuesday, November 7 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Daniels Spectrum located at 585 Dundas Street East in Meeting Room #1. The night will involve small and large group discussion and a short survey. We will provide dinner, and there will be lots of time to linger and chat, You will also receive an honorarium of $40/h for your time.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you have any accomidation needs. We are happy to provide childcare, if needed.
