3rd Annual Building Reconciliation Forum: The Journey Toward a Reconciled Education System

Join us at the 3rd annual Building Reconciliation Forum when we will explore The Journey Toward a Reconciled Education System.

The University of Manitoba is proud to host the forum in Winnipeg. Tentative topics include:

Keynote address from Cynthia Wesley-Esquimaux, Chair on Truth and Reconciliation, Lakehead University
Centering Our Communities in Our Physical Spaces
Presidents’ Forum, with partner Universities Canada
Interactive Student Session
Indigenous Knowledge and Research Across Disciplines
Survivors’ Perspectives on Reconciliation
Institutional Development
United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
Indigenous Knowledge – Incorporating Community Strength
Optional activities will include a tour at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and a closing reception.

The forum brings together leaders from universities, colleges, and Indigenous communities to take action on reconciliation, creating meaningful and lasting institutional change.
