Cycling and Walking Our Way to Social and Climate Justice

Historically, Toronto’s under-served and lower-income communities have enjoyed unequal access to the benefits of infrastructure investments that are made with public funds. While social justice activists campaign for more convenient and affordable public transit options, there are very attractive alternatives for transport: the bicycle and our own two feet.

In this workshop, we will explore the link between active transit, social justice, and climate change, and the easy ways communities can save money, save the planet, and create new jobs by adopting cycling and walking as a way of life.
