In Search of the Steadfast Olive: A Journey of Hope to the Holy Land

About the Speakers
Bob Holmes is a Peace Activist serving with CPT (Christian Peacemaker Team) in Hebron in the Occupied Palestinian Territories since year 2000. He leads Peace and Justice pilgrimages to the Holy Land every year. Bob is a Catholic priest, a member of the Basilian Fathers and makes his home in Toronto. Over the last 12 years he has served with CPT in Iraq (Baghdad and Kudistan), Colombia, Mexico (Chiapas), Congo, USA (on Arizona/Mexico border) and in Canada (with First Nations).

Brigitte Hutter Schmidt a retired high school teacher who has participated in Peace and Justice Pilgrimages to Colombia (2005), Mexico (2007) and Israel/Palestine (2006 and 2014).

Ted Schmidt is the former editor the Catholic New Times. As well he is the author of Shabbes Goy: a Catholic Boyhood on a Jewish Street in a Protestant City (2001), Journeys to the Heart of Catholicism (2008) and Never Neutral: A Teaching Life (2013). He is working on his fourth book, I Was a Catholic Zionist.
