Don't buy these grapes

Abstract:
The United Farm Workers are appealing to the public to boycott California grapes. Poisons like Orthene and Aldicarb are still used even though they have been outlawed. Workers are regularly sent into the fields too soon after pesticide spraying -- despite legislation about safe re-entry periods. Workers are not told what kind of poisons they are handling, they are not issued protective clothing; violations occur daily.
