Abstract:
CANADA ELECTRIC BRIGADE is recruiting people with a wide spectrum of skills and interests to help the Nicaraguan people and their elected government build a better life for themselves. It also raises funds for agricultural and medical supplies. People joining the brigade are expected to pay their own way to Nicaragua. A brochure is available.

In September, a brigade of 10 electricians and other tradespeople wired dormitories, a kitchen and a medical clinic at a Nicaraguan hydro project. A slide show is being created and a brigade is being organized to work with the Tools for Peace ship in February (call Roy Pelt at 267-5709 or Mike Nevin at 532-8058).

This organization no longer exists.
