On 16 August 1819, approximately 60,000 people from Manchester, England and surrounding towns gather in St Peter's Fields to demand Parliamentary reform and an extension of voting rights for women and working class men; however, the peaceful rally turns violent when armed government militias charge the crowd in an attempt to arrest speaker and activist Henry "Orator" Hunt.
