The departments presently participating in PACE include Anthropology, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Religious Studies and Sociology. PACE "provides a course of study for those who have a special interest in the causes and conditions of international, inter-group or inter-personal conflict, and in approaches to conflict resolution or management". The program is geared so that students from different disciplines work together on common issues in the PACE core courses. The program is particularly suitable for those considering careers in social work, community development, public administration, law, corrections, education or politics. There are three PACE program options from which a student may choose: honours, general programs and minor.
