As many as 12,000 people took part in three days of protest at Fort Benning,
Georgia's Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (formerly known
as the School of the Americas) from Nov. 16-18. The annual protest condemns the
school's role in training military officers involved in human rights violations
throughout Latin America. |
