Dear Huysmans,

I am very much surprised that Comrade Charles Rappoport, who promised me that he would translate the Programme and Rules of our Party, has not written to you. He promised to do so several weeks ago.

I shall be in Paris in two or three days and shall ask him about it at once and let you know.

As regards the affair concerning Mr. Gertsik, it is a very good thing that you have retracted the more than unfair accusation against our Party.

You ask for the address of the comrade “to whom Gertsik should apply”. I repeat: he must apply to the commit tees of the parties whose representatives participated in the hearing of the Gertsik case. The address of the Bureau Abroad of the Central Committee of the Russian Social. Democratic Labour Party is the following: Mr. D. Kotlyarenko (for the Bureau, etc.), 110. Rue d’Orleans 110. Paris. XIV. This address is regularly given in our papers. I also wish to say again that I shall never reply to Gertsik since the scoundrel allows himself to level extremely insulting insinuations at the Russian Social-Democrats. It is as simple as this. If he has the temerity to say that the Russian Social-Democrats are “biased” judges, why does he not apply to the committees of the other parties that passed judgement on him?

Yours,
N. Lenin
