Purpose: Established in 1991, the Canadian Labour Force Development Board (CLFDB) is a national advisory body made up of:
* labour market partner organizations -- business and labour;
* groups seeking equality -- women, aboriginal people, people from visible minority groups and people with disabilities;
* training and education services -- schools, universities, training institutions, educators.
These partners work together to improve access to training and employment for all members of the Canadian labour force. The goal of the CLFDB is to achieve a system for education, training and employment that is effective, efficient and equitable.
