Purpose: The Canadian Peace Alliance is the largest umbrella peace organization in Canada. Founded in 1985, the Canadian Peace Alliance has 150 groups and promotes concerted action towards disarmament, demilitarization, and the building of conditions and institutions for peace, equality and social justice by means of raising public awareness and influencing government.
