Purpose: The WLSN is an organization and a website dedicated to maintaining an up-to-date catalog of all of the world's libertarian socialist organizations. That is, organizations with a common aim: the establishment of direct democratic, non-hierarchical, world socialism (communism); as in a society based on the maxim 'from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs', a state-less society without money, classes, nations, and borders.
Our immediate goal is to facilitate networking and cooperation between the world's various libertarian socialist organizations and to create a sense of solidarity between these groups.
Libertarian socialism is stateless democratic socialism self-managed by the people - a society based on solidarity and individual liberty - where all people will be cared for and all will be free to pursue happiness and their life's fulfillment in any way in which they choose. Libertarian socialism is based on the maxim 'from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs' - in other words, a society in which people cooperate voluntarily (without coercion in the form of wage or monetary systems) to produce what is necessary to live and enjoy life and in turn all would be free to take what they need from what is available.
