Explores the radical changes in our diet and our food in the last half century.

Abstract:
Deborah Koons Garcia explores the radical changes in our diet and our food in the last half century in this documentary which investigates the patented genetically engineered foods which have been discreetly monopolizing the food and agricultural industry. The film explores the negative impacts on farmers and the challenges they face with this new technology as well as the health implications of genetically engineered food which are not being discussed by the major food industries. The documentary also presents different alternatives to large scale industrial agriculture, such as organic farming. Shot in Canada, the United States, and Mexico the film tries to paint a broad picture of the complex transformation which is going on as multinational corporations seek to control the world's food system.
