Abstract: 
This five-person collective aims to porpularize theatre by examining current social issues such as women's rights, unemployment and Third World. From 1983 to 1985 No Frills Theatricks has collectively written, produced and staged four plays which were performed in a women's prison, a gay bar, universities, churches and a numerous socials.

The four plays are:
- A WORKING WOMEN'S GUIDE TO THE ECONOMIC CRISIS OR HOW NOT TO LOSE YOUR SHIRT ( 25 minutes). Jane finds out why the average worker can't get ahead in the confusing world of high interest rates, bank loans, unemployment, job creation programmes, computers, and office automation.

- CHOICES (30 minutes) explores some of the choices women make in a system that has many ways of
silencing them. Meet Mr. P. Atriarchy.

- THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL (40 minutes). A dramatized poetry reading in which women tell their
stories as victims of sexual harassement and violence in the home and in the workplace.

- THE LEGEND OF NYTTORO (45 minutes). Travel with the President and the General as they attempt to
negotiate a loan from an international banking institute to buy arms for "defence" and encounter the
smooth-talking S.L. Eeze, public relations expert.
