Abstract:  A community newspaper reporting the efforts of the Downtown East-Side Residents Association in confronting exploitive practices of slum landlords, tax buyers, and city politicians in the Downtown East-Side core of Vancouver. Recent efforts described are demonstrations for jobs and Women's rights, tenants organizations, and efforts to put tax buyers out of business. It is a good way to keep informed about the issues being raised in the downtown core of Vancouver.
