Israel Palestine Law Symposium

Our symposium opens on the evening of Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, and closes at noon on Sunday, Sept 9. Topics to be tackled:

• What is the status of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza under international law?

• What does the 4th Geneva Convention say about Jewish settlements?

• What are Israel's obligations to the Palestinian people? What are the rights and obligations of the Palestinian people and their leadership?

• What role should international law play in resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

• What are Canada's legal obligations under the UN Charter and 4th Geneva Convention?

The Israel, Palestine and International Law symposium is sponsored by (alphabetical order): Independent Jewish Voices Canada, Mennonite Church Manitoba Working Group on Palestine-Israel, Peace Alliance Winnipeg, United Jewish People's Order (Winnipeg), and the Winnipeg Centre Federal Green Party Association.
