RISE Conference

RISE is a one-day FREE youth-led social justice conference that works to bring together youth aged 13-18 from diverse paths to learn about refugees, Indigenous issues, poverty, racial justice and Islamophobia in the context of York Region and the larger community. Delegates will engage with community leaders and organizations through stimulating simulations, meaningful discussions, and passionate speakers; delegates will also be walked through creating a personal action plan. We are committed to empowering youth with the right tools and relationships exhibit allyship and accompliceship within the community.

The energy-filled experience and strong connections formed at RISE will fuel inspiration for youth to take leadership in their own communities. Come open your minds, share your pivotal perspectives and learn how to address real world issues in a personal unique way!

Keep in mind that we want to make this experience the best possible for you. The space is fully accessible with elevator access. Food will also be provided.
